R-LX. Good is not good enough

“Trust & Innovation” – our motto remains valid considering the ongoing improvements in Rawlplug’s offering. This is how we combine proven product solutions with their new properties. Below is a list of the latest improvements to the R-LX concrete screws.

R-LX-06-CS countersunk head concrete screw

Drive bit socket enlarged to T40 from the former size of T30, intended to ensure:

• easier and more secure fixing using the RT-IBIT-T40/25 impact bits from Rawlplug
• more efficient torque transfer
• improved working comfort

Enlarged countersunk head diameter bringing you the following benefits:

• larger holding area
• more uniform force distribution on the fixture, which proves particularly important when fixing wooden elements.

At the same time, we are implementing new product variants corresponding to the lengths of 120, 140 and 160 mm with the following advantages:

• product portfolio that caters to the specific needs of our customers
• more fixing options.

The above improvements to the R-LX-06-CS screw portfolio will be introduced in July 2021, while the length variations of 130 and 150 mm are to be removed from Rawlplug’s offering.

R-LX-08-CS countersunk head concrete screw

Driver bit socket enlarged to T50 from the former size of T45. This is to ensure:

• easier and more secure fixing using the RT-IBIT-T50/35 impact bits from Rawlplug
• more efficient torque transfer
• improved working comfort.

Enlarged countersunk head diameter. This solution is intended to bring you the following benefits:

• larger holding area
• more uniform force distribution on the fixture, which proves particularly important when fixing wooden elements.

The modifications to this version of the R-LX are scheduled for implementation in August 2021.

R-LX-12-HF flanged hex head concrete screw

HF head size changed to 17 mm from the former 16 mm. Advantages:

• easier product installation in the base material using the RT-IS-17-1/2L impact socket from Rawlplug
• improved working comfort of the user
• standardised product range – the 17 mm size corresponds to the typical construction driver bits.

The launch of the R-LX-12-HF screw’s new version is scheduled for October this year.

New item in the range of the R-LX concrete screws – the M8/M10 double inner thread version.

Rawlplug’s portfolio of the R-LX-06-I screws has just been extended with the M8/M10 double inner thread version available in two length variants of 35 mm and 55 mm.

For installation of the R-LX-06-I, we recommend the RT-IS-13-1/2L impact socket. As the product range is expanding, the following single-thread screws will be systematically removed from the offer: R-LX-06X035-I08-ZP, R-LX-06X055-I08-ZP, R-LX-06X035-I10-ZP, and R-LX-06X055-I10-ZP.

R-LX-E8-ZP – new externally threaded concrete screw

In August, Rawlplug’s central warehouse will welcome a new solution, namely the externally threaded R-LX-06 screw. These products will be available in two sizes: 6×35 and 6×55, as new line items:

• R-LX-06X035-E8-ZP
• R-LX-06X055-E8-ZP

For installation purposes, the RT-IS-E7-1/2 impact socket should be used.
